The Walmart listing breaks the Mandalorian box down into 8 pairs of low-cut ankle socks and 4 crew pairs.

Who a sock advent calendar suits

How sock calendar sizes work

Sock calendars list sizes in two ways: a shoe size range or a sock size. The licensed men’s boxes at Target and Walmart give a shoe size range, 6 to 12. European brands often print a sock size such as 41-46 instead, so compare it with the brand’s own size chart before buying.

Kids’ boxes usually give an age or size range rather than one shoe size. Check the shoe size if the child is at either end of that range, and buy one box per child rather than sharing one between siblings.

Buying a sealed sock calendar on eBay

Resale sock calendars are usually past-season retail boxes. Before you buy:

• Read the size on the box in the photos, not only in the title.
• Check the box is sealed, so every pair is there.
• Confirm the pair count. A box with 24 doors does not always hold 24 pairs, so look for the number of pairs, not the number of days.
