Jewelry Advent Calendars 2026: Charm, Kids and Fine Jewelry Picks

A jewelry advent calendar is worth it when the metal is named and the pieces suit the wearer. Fine jewelry boxes, such as Astrid & Miyu’s 12-day and 24-day calendars, are keepsakes for adults. Kids’ charm kits are craft toys with resin charms. Swarovski’s famous calendar holds crystal ornaments, not jewelry. Check nickel and, for kids, lead.

Three kinds of jewelry advent calendar

Jewelry advent calendars fall into three groups, and the box art does not always make the difference clear.

The first group is jewelry to wear for years. The second is a December craft. The third belongs on a shelf or tree, which matters if you expected earrings.

Astrid & Miyu’s 2026 jewelry calendars

Astrid & Miyu sells two 2026 advent calendars, a 12-day and a 24-day box, each in gold or silver. The brand says the pieces are exclusive jewels for ear, necklace and bracelet stacks, made in 18k gold-plated brass, recycled sterling silver and rhodium-plated sterling silver and brass. Pre-orders ship from October 12, and by early October the silver 24-day calendar had already sold out online.

12 Day Advent Calendar. The gold version holds 9 exclusive jewels: 6 earrings, an ear cuff and a necklace and bracelet set. It comes in a checkerboard keepsake tin with a Tiny Tote bag, and a voucher inside goes toward one more piece.

24 Day Advent Calendar. The gold version holds 22 pieces, including 9 earrings, 2 ear cuffs and 2 necklace and bracelet sets, with a tote bag and a voucher. The box itself doubles as a suedette jewelry box with a mirror inside. Astrid & Miyu also published a blog post on four ear stacks found only inside the 2026 calendars.

Days and pieces do not match one for one, because the voucher and extras take up doors. Count the jewelry, not the doors, when you compare calendars.

The Swarovski advent calendar holds ornaments, not jewelry

Swarovski’s 2026 Annual Edition Advent Calendar is one of the best-known luxury calendars, but it contains no jewelry. Swarovski describes 25 doors that each reveal a crystal ornament, figurine or tree decoration. Its list runs from stars and moons to bells and the Kris Bear.

The 2026 box is gold with a white bow and follows a night-sky theme. Swarovski says it went on sale online and in select stores on July 22, 2026, and that the doors open from December 1.

Charm bracelet advent calendars for kids

Charm calendars for children work like a craft kit: a bracelet or necklace arrives early, and the other doors hold charms to add one by one. The Great Pretenders Build A Bracelet calendar (Holiday Party Fun edition), for example, is listed by the Canadian retailer Well.ca with 1 bracelet, 1 necklace and 22 resin charms such as stars, candy canes and Christmas trees, for ages 3 and up.

Two federal rules help you judge an unbranded kit.

• Lead. The CPSC says children’s products, meaning items made mainly for children 12 and younger, may not contain more than 100 parts per million of lead in any accessible part. Metal charms and chains count.
• Small parts. Toys meant for children under 3 may not contain small parts, under the CPSC small-parts rule. Charms and beads are small enough to choke a toddler, so keep these kits away from younger siblings.

A brand name and an age label on the box are good signs. A listing with none of these tells you little about how the metal was tested.

How to check the metal before you buy

Nickel is the other check. The American Academy of Dermatology calls nickel one of the most common causes of allergic skin rashes and names earrings, earring backs and watches among the biggest triggers, though necklaces, rings and bracelets with nickel can cause a rash too. The AAD suggests nickel-free or hypoallergenic jewelry, or metals such as surgical-grade stainless steel, pure sterling silver, platinum, and 18-, 22- or 24-karat yellow gold. Plated brass, common in calendar jewelry, is not on that list.

Buying a sealed jewelry calendar on eBay

Jewelry calendars sell out at the brand, so resale listings fill the gap. A few checks help.

1. Match the year and color. Astrid & Miyu sells gold and silver versions with different pieces, and contents change every year.
2. Ask whether the box is sealed. An opened calendar may be missing its best pieces.
3. Look for the brand’s own name on the box and listing. Calendars described as “inspired by” a brand are not made by it.
4. Check the returns policy, since jewelry is hard to judge from photos.
