LEGO Advent Calendars 2026: Every Set, Plus Past Years Still Sealed

LEGO released five advent calendars for 2026: Star Wars (75456), Marvel (76340), City (60510), Disney Princess (43298) and Friends (42698). Each has 24 doors of small builds and minifigures. City and Disney Princess are rated 5+, the others 6+. Older calendars from past years are still sold sealed by collectors and resellers.

Every 2026 LEGO advent calendar

LEGO lists all five as new for 2026. Jay’s Brick Blog reports a release date of September 1, 2026, and calls this a smaller lineup than in previous years.

Star Wars 75456

Brickset lists this year’s calendar as a Mandalorian theme, with Din Djarin and Grogu among the figures. Jay’s Brick Blog points out an IG-88 droid with a newly designed head element.

Marvel 76340

At 317 pieces, the largest of the five. Jay’s Brick Blog lists Spider-Man, Wolverine and Doctor Doom among the characters.

City 60510

City calendars have come out every year since 2005, according to Brickipedia. The 2026 edition centers on Santa’s workshop, and Brickset’s tags include Santa, reindeer, a snowman, a Christmas tree and small vehicles such as a fire truck.

Disney Princess 43298

This year’s Disney calendar uses micro-dolls rather than the larger mini-dolls. LEGO’s product listing names Ariel, Cinderella, Moana and Mulan, plus animal friends such as Mushu and Sebastian. Check the scale if a child wants to mix the figures with other Disney sets.

Friends 42698

Jay’s Brick Blog says the Friends calendar was initially left out of the announced lineup and revealed later. It has winter scenes, including skiing and ice skating, and animals.

Which LEGO advent calendar should you buy?

Choose by the child’s current interests first, then by age.

For a 5-year-old or a first-time builder, City or Disney Princess are the two rated 5+. City suits children who like vehicles and Santa scenes. Disney Princess suits fans of the films.

For a 6 to 9-year-old, Friends, Star Wars and Marvel are all rated 6+. A child already watching The Mandalorian will likely get the most from 75456.

For a teen or adult collector, the choice comes down to theme. Star Wars and Marvel carry characters many people already collect, and a calendar can also be kept sealed.

All LEGO calendars contain small parts. U.S. rules require toys for children aged 3 to 6 that contain small parts to carry a choking warning that they are not for children under 3. Keep opened doors away from babies and toddlers.

What happened to the Harry Potter and Minecraft calendars?

Neither is in the 2026 lineup. Jay’s Brick Blog reports that LEGO dropped the Harry Potter calendar this year, and the Minecraft calendar from 2025 did not return. How LEGO advent calendars started

LEGO’s first advent calendar was set 1298 in 1998. BrickNerd explains that the set number stands for the month and year: 12 for December, 98 for 1998. Brickset lists it as a limited release with small Christmas builds such as aircraft, boats and animals. Set 1076 followed in 1999.

Later themes arrived one at a time:

• 2005: City, which has had a calendar every year since.
• 2011: Star Wars, starting with set 7958.
• 2012: Friends, starting with set 3316.
• 2019: Harry Potter.
• 2021: Marvel.

Buying a past-year LEGO calendar sealed

Older LEGO calendars are easy to find from resellers and are a good fallback when a new one sells out. The set number is the key: calendars from different years can look alike in small photos, so the number and the year printed on the box are what tell them apart.
